Wynn Heliczer

Wynn is born and raised in Amsterdam,

is still living there, and loves to come home there again after a lot of traveling.

Her first language is Dutch,

but also English is a language she speaks  and quite some French.

You could say she has feeling for language in general.

Ever since she was very young she creates.

Acting, singing, writing songs and manifesting biographical music-theatre shows.

From the Italian Opera to Dutch Musical, from a Bachelor in Acting at Drama School to Theatres and Cinemas,

from Television to Audiobooks and beyond:     

                                                                                            she is there. 

Wynn always looks for pieces of herself to puzzle out the character. It is about 'understanding'.

With an empathetic eye for detail she creates characters that are authentic and alive. You can almost touch them.

Until you realize there’s a screen in between.

But you won’t. You’ll be already absorbed in the story she’s telling.

Pearls like the short movies 'No Vacancy' (2012) and ‘Think of something blue’ (2017) makes her heart grow fonder. 

In theatre-aspects  'The Missing Beat’ Project is most dear to her.

It’s a music theatre trip based on her own experiences (and decades of research) of life and work of her dad’s.

Piero Heliczer worked close with Andy Warhol and the Beat Poets, but wasn't much around in her life "like a true father",

so she created her own version of him.

Since 2019 also audiobooks have acquired a special, proper

place in her heart.

Wynn simply loves words and stories,

and the ability to use her voice to get the listener absorbed in all of these.

Just like with her dubbing work for live action- and animation films.

Joan as Policewoman, Alex Prager and Wes Anderson

are all big inspirations to Wynn.

She wouldn’t mind at all to play the next Bond-girl,

perhaps his mother, so she can practice it first with her son, James,

who is a big inspiration to her as well.

Wynn is geboren en getogen in Amsterdam,

woont daar nog steeds en komt er graag na veel reizen weer thuis.

Haar eerste taal is Nederlands,

maar ze spreekt ook Engels en behoorlijk wat Frans.

Je zou kunnen zeggen dat ze wel gevoel voor taal heeft in het algemeen.

Sinds ze heel jong was creëert ze. 

Acteren, zingen en songs schrijven, biografische muziektheater-shows maken…

Van de Italiaanse Opera tot de Nederlandse Musical, van de Theaterschool tot Theaters en Bioscopen, van Televisie tot Luisterboeken en meer:

                                                   ze is daar graag gezien.

Wynn zoekt altijd naar delen van zichzelf om het personage mee rond te puzzelen.

Het gaat over ‘begrijpen’.

Met een empathisch oog voor detail creëert ze personages die authentiek en levend zijn. Je kunt ze bijna aanraken.

Totdat je je realiseert dat er een scherm tussen zit.

Maar dat zal niet gebeuren. Want je wordt haar verhaal al ingezogen.

Parels zoals de korte films 'No Vacancy' (2012) en “Denk Maar Aan Iets Blauws" (2017) doen haar hart sneller kloppen.

In theateraspecten is het project 'The Missing Beat' haar het meest dierbaar. Het is een muziektheatertrip op basis van haar eigen ervaringen (en tientallen jaren onderzoek) naar het leven en werk van haar vader.

Piero Heliczer werkte samen met Andy Warhol en de Beat dichters, maar was niet echt veel in haar leven aanwezig "als een echte vader", dus creëerde ze haar eigen versie van hem.

Sinds 2019 hebben ook luisterboeken een speciale plek in haar hart. Wynn houdt gewoon heel erg van woorden en verhalen,

en om haar stem te gebruiken om de luisteraar daar helemaal in op te laten gaan.

Net als bij haar nasynchronisatie werk voor live action- en

tekenfilms.

Joan als Policewoman, Alex Prager en Wes Anderson

zijn grote inspiraties voor Wynn.

Ze ziet het wel zitten de volgende Bond-girl te spelen, misschien wel zijn moeder, dan kan ze het eerst oefenen met haar zoon, James, die ook een grote inspiratie voor haar is.
